Boys & Girls Club of the Big Country Announces Inaugural "Piece Out" Puzzle Tournament Presented by Oracle
Abilene, Texas – The Boys & Girls Club of the Big Country is excited to announce its inaugural "Piece Out" Puzzle Tournament, presented by Oracle, on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at the TJ Jones Club, 4610 N. 10th Street, Abilene, Texas.
This unique community event will bring together families, friends, businesses, and puzzle enthusiasts for a day of fun competition while raising funds to support local youth through Boys & Girls Club programs.
Participants can compete in one of two divisions:

  • Family Fun Division
  • Adults & Corporate/Business Division
Each division will have 90 minutes to complete its puzzle, with prizes awarded for:
  • Fastest Team
  • Best Team Name
  • Best Team Spirit
"We're excited to introduce a new event that combines teamwork, friendly competition, and community support," said Kathi Masonheimer, CEO of Boys & Girls Club of the Big Country. "Every puzzle completed helps us continue providing safe places, caring mentors, and life-changing opportunities for the hundreds of children we serve each day."

Event Schedule

Family Fun Division
  • 9:00 AM – Doors Open
  • 9:45 AM – Announcements & Rules
  • 10:00 AM – Competition Begins
  • 11:30 AM – Competition Ends
  • 11:45 AM – Awards Presentation
Adults & Corporate/Business Division
  • 12:30 PM – Check-In Begins
  • 1:15 PM – Announcements & Rules
  • 1:30 PM – Competition Begins
  • 3:00 PM – Competition Ends
  • 3:15 PM – Awards Presentation
The day will conclude with a Facebook Live drawing at 3:30 PM for the Boys & Girls Club Beef Raffle winners.
In addition to the tournament, attendees can enjoy:
  • Food available for purchase throughout the day
  • Original artwork created by Club members available for purchase
  • Team spirit contests and cheering sections
