David is a 1976 graduate of McMurry University & studied advanced accounting at Abilene Christian University
He was a tax consultant at the world’s largest accounting firm KPMG, in San Antonio, from 1978-1982, where he specialized in oil/gas accounting. On returning to Abilene, he became a tax partner at Abilene firm, Phillips and Company, from 1983-2005. He retired as a senior tax partner, after ten years, at Condley and Company in 2016, specializing in individual, partnership, corporate taxation, business valuations, buying/selling businesses, mergers and acquisitions. After retirement, he became chief financial officer for an oilfield services company in Midland, in 2017. As part of that position, he was also the CFO of Wayne Newton’s Las Vegas ranch.
