GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a Network Technician, you will be primarily focused on new installations and repairs of our cable, internet, phone, and Intellihome systems. You will drive a company truck, go into customer homes, and represent Vexus Fiber to our customers. Also, you will learn and perform a change of service, additional outlet installation, disconnection of service, payment collection, and other duties as assigned.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform new connects, reconnects, disconnects, upgrades, downgrades, and change-of-service
- Install and relocate outlets, Install or remove converters and cable modems, Install interior and exterior wiring
- Train customers on the proper use of equipment
- Monitor, repair, and record system drop, and in-house leakage
- Assure proper signal levels and picture quality
- Troubleshoot from consumer device to tap
- Troubleshoot, repair, and replace components from tap to consumer device
- Identify and report all incidents of noncompliance (FCC, NESC, OSHA, and Vexus standards)
- Provide superior customer service, and complete all tasks to Vexus quality standards
- Maintain professional appearance and behavior at all times, and maintain excellent attendance
- Responsible for motor vehicle per company policy including equipment & tool inventory, vehicle security, and vehicle maintenance
- Analyzes picture quality and judges acceptability of picture delivered following installation of cable service
- Works with connectors, fasteners, and wire and uses hand tools
- Generate additional company revenue through effective sales techniques
- Ability to work flexible work hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required
- Other duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
- High school diploma or GED required; trade school training preferred
- Valid driver’s license; satisfactory driving record required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Climb poles with proper equipment, ladders, or other structures as needed. Lifts and carries loads up to 75lbs (including line ladder); Works within limited confines, such as crawl spaces
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and at various heights
- Ability to differentiate between different sizes and colors of wires
