We are currently seeking a Software Developer to join our team!

 

The successful candidate will be a proactive team player who thrives on the challenge of developing results-oriented applications with an eagerness to learn and grow. In this role, you will contribute to development sprints by writing code to provide a specific solution, review code written by peers, and write documentation to accompany the solution.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Write, update, and maintain computer programs or software packages to handle specific tasks per specifications
  • Perform or direct revision, repair, or expansion of existing programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements
  • Conduct trial runs of programs and software applications to be sure they will produce the desired information and that the instructions are correct
  • Write, analyze, review, and rewrite programs, apply knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter, and symbolic logic
  • Modify existing software requirements to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance
  • Learn the tools, technology, and processes that are implemented within the team.
  • Review and implement solutions for bugs and enhancements within our software.
  • Collaborate with peers and stake holders during meetings.
  • Write in-code and external documentation for implemented solutions as well as any dependencies or strategies introduced to the software.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field of study.
  • Previous experience as a software developer
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proficiency with Java, Ruby, C# or similar OOP language
  • Fluency in Vue.js, Ruby-on-Rails, JavaScript, Html/CSS
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases
  • Industry-standard development tools (e.g. Eclipse, IntelliJ)
  • Should be a self-starter, able to manage his/her own time
  • Solid work ethic, integrity, and exceptional interpersonal/communication skills
  • Ability to self-test work to ensure best practices and highest quality
  • Ability to work independently or as a team
