The Crisis Counseling Coordinator will lead and provide local efforts in the field for the COVID-19 crisis counseling program in Taylor, Jones, Callahan, Shackelford and Stephens counties. Duties will include planning and delivering basic support or educational contacts, public education, group crisis counseling or support services, community networking and support, assessment, referral and resource linkage, development and distribution of educational materials and assisting with media and public service announcements.
Minimum Bachelor's degree in the field of human/social services required. Experience in working with person coping with disaster preferred. Prefer minimum of 2 years of proven work experience, organizational and time management skills. Must demonstrate ability to communicate effectively and professionally using phone, written and oral methods. Training in CISM, NOVA, Psychological First Aid preferred.
