Community Support Services

Responsible for providing Community Support Services to General Revenue individuals who live with their natural family or in their own home. You may be required to provide Day Habilitation or Respite to individuals. Hours may include evenings, weekends and possibility of overnight when providing respite services. Responsible for planning activities to encourage individuals to access community services, providing transportation, assisting with grocery shopping and household chores, medication monitoring, habilitation training, and other duties as required by the services requested by the individuals Service Planning Team and their Person Directed Plan. This position requires the ability to: identify problems/need areas work under stressful situations in a professional manner, be through in assessment and documentation, locate and utilize community resources, and to develop positive relationships with consumers. Position will work cooperatively with other departments and the community. Skills in written and oral communication, problem solving and teamwork are essential. Must be flexible with work schedule in order to meet the needs of consumers. Transportation of consumers may include using your personal vehicle. Will be required to be able to be reached at all times when on duty; this could be by pager. Will be required to follow all regulations of the GR standards. Must meet established performance targets. Will work directly under the supervision of the IDD Program Administrator.



Must have High School Diploma or equivalency. Experience working with persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities is preferred. Must possess a current Texas driver’s license and qualify for Center insurance coverage. Must also have basic computer skills.

Hours: Monday-Friday, varies, 40 hours weekly, some evenings & weekends
Salary: $1,841.57 monthly
