Salary: $27.8846 - $35.5769 (D.O.E.); will be eligible for tenure based performance payments, depending on satisfactory performance

DESCRIPTION

This position will dedicate the bulk of the work week to the counseling unit. This position is responsible for providing cognitive behavioral therapy to a caseload of adult mental health consumers. This position is responsible to implement consumers’ treatment plans for the authorized units of CBT therapy or counseling focused on resolving problems in daily functioning or symptoms resulting from maladaptive thoughts, feelings, interpersonal disturbances and experiences consistent with DSM-IV diagnosis of major depression. This position will be accountable to provide a minimum of two hours of counseling for each customer on the caseload to meet performance targets.

This position will be responsible to provider crisis follow up services, case management services and crisis CBT counseling for Center service package five customers as indicated in their treatment plans of care.

This position will be cross-trained to assist the admissions unit to assist adults and children applying for mental health services to determine their eligibility for admission into services. This position will assist the admissions LPHA team leader to make sure that there is adequate LPHA coverage for the volume of intakes needed for the walk in intake process each business day

This position will serve on an after-hours rotation to provide crisis consultation and crisis assessments as scheduled. This position will also serve on the Critical Incident & Stress Management team to provide support services for disaster victims as needed. This position will also provide clinical consultation for Center bachelor degreed mental health professional staff and peer providers.

QUALIFICATIONS

Requires a Masters Degree in Counseling, Social Work or Psychology from an accredited college or
university. Must either have a current license as an LPC, LCSW, LMFT or Psychologist. Must be eligible to be certified as a Qualified Mental Health Professional. Must have previous mental health work experience with adult mental health consumers. Must possess a valid Texas Drivers License and be an insurable driver.
