The Engineering Technician I reportsdirectly to the Director of Operations.
Skills,Knowledge, and Abilities:Be able to dealeffectively with other teammembers. Be able to read, understand and follow allcheck lists andTechnicalOrders.Have the Ability to explaintechnicalissues in non-technicalterms, to developandoptimizeoverall solutions, andresolve conflicting priorities or issues.
Physical:Requiressitting, standing, walking,bending, stooping, kneeling, moving around,andoverobstacles. Lifting required up to 70 lbs. See to read reports, manuals, specifications, model numbers,and to complete forms. Be ableto make writtenand oral reports.
Mental:Be able to readand understand specifications andtechnicalmanualsrelated to hardwareand to the job, to understand time and cost impact of the decisions andactionstakenrelated to the job. RESPONSIBILlTlES The responsibilities of the Engineering Technician I include but are not limited to:
Evaluate disassembly, assembly, andrepair components, subunits, or simplemodels or adaptsstandardequipment. May troubleshoot andcorrectmalfunctions.
Performs test of components using standardtest equipment and recording of test results.
Keep the assignedarea neat and clean
Review the job and product specificationsand determine the necessaryrequirements in hours,equipment, and materials
FollowallchecklistsandTechnical Orders to the letter.
Keep the Floor Supervisor informed of Job Statusandanyunusual events or costs on the job
Ensure allpayroll hours, job hours, anddata is accurateand properly assigned
Ensure only necessarymaterial,hours, etc. are drawn or usedandreturn if necessary
Reportany unsafe or unlawfulaction.
SafeguardallTAS property and to prevent loss or unauthorized use
Communicatewithall other TASemployeesasnecessaryandappropriateto be effectiveand to maintain good working relationship with them
Make recommendations for improvements
Checkequipment as required and maintain it in a safeandcalibrated manner
Use good judgment and reasoning in investigatingand solving problems
Maintain and respect the confidentiality of Company,employee,suppliers,and customer data
Promote goodmorale and motivation
Recognizeand deal with priorities on the job. Plan andschedulematerials.
